Sgraffito is a centuries-old technique: drawing through layers of clay to reveal the contrasting body beneath. Each piece takes hours of focused carving — freehand, no stencils, no shortcuts.

Throw
Every piece begins on the potter's wheel, shaped by hand from stoneware clay.

Coat
A layer of colored slip is applied to the leather-hard surface — this becomes the background.

Carve
Designs are drawn freehand through the slip, revealing the clay beneath. This is the sgraffito.

Fire
Glazed and fired twice — to cone 6 in an electric kiln. Food-safe, dishwasher-safe, made to last.
